Log #50 (February 5th, 2010 10:32pm USA Central Time)

Me, Vector, and Dr. Lazers witnessed this one. Went out for ten seconds as usual, 11 minutes after the previous power out. There was slow pulse of light flickering a minute later at 10:33pm USA Central Time. Lazers was looking out the window and saw flashes in the sky and told us to check it out. We saw about three flashes that lit the entire sky with red, blue, and whiteish colors quickly; it looked rad 8) . It was probably another blown transformer and appeared to be coming from the Crete park. We were probably to far away to hear any cool hissing and crackling though.

Usual ten second power out. The transformer flashes we saw from #50 went away after a couple minutes and I have seen no flashes after this log.

Log #52 (February 6th, 2010 2:42am USA Central Time)

Same scenario as previous log. Just like log #49-50, this one occurred 11 minutes after the first.

Log #53 (February 6th, 2010 2:49am USA Central Time)

Typical power out, except that after the power came back on, the lights in my room were lightly flickering for about a minute.

I kept resetting the time on our alarm clocks, but after the second outage I gave up.
Did not lose power to my Computers or TV because I have them on UPS that last for about 15 minutes, perfect for this type of outages.

Actually I went out on the deck after seeing the light show out the window and heard sounds with the light. It sounded like the noise that Jango Fetts audio bomb things made in the Attack of the Clones only more distant and reverberish. There was a slight delay (~0.5 second) between the light and sound so it was probably near the park district.

My power out senses woke me up for this one. Power came back on within a second or two. A small thunder storm came afterwards.

Long overdue, but does anyone recall a power out on February 26th (2010)? My alarm clock was reset that day, but I don't think any other clocks were.

Log #55 (March 22nd, 2010 11:45/46pm USA Central Time)

As I was walking to the door about 20 minutes ago after getting home from work, I saw a truck with lights by the railroad track and heard a couple people talking. This should've been a sign for me to NOT turn on my computer as soon as I got in. Just as I getting ready to use my computer, the power went out, for maybe slightly over 10 seconds. So far the power has been on for around ten minutes so I hope it stays that way.

You got to give the official time of the outage.

A horrible year for Republicans, thanks to the insufferable Hoover.

Everyone of them had faults I'd readily admit to...except Coolidge & Ike.

Our current Prez makes Clinton look almost Reagan-like. ("Reagan-like" being a good thing)
